Langgam: small problem, stubborn cause
Ants forage along scent trails that can run twenty metres from the nest. Wiping the trail clears it for a few hours; the colony re-establishes the same route by morning because nothing has happened to it.
Some species also split the colony when they are disturbed by repellent sprays — one nest becomes three, in places harder to reach. That is the most common reason a household ant problem gets worse after DIY treatment.
What our ant control service includes
Following the foraging route back to the nest before anything is applied.
Sugar or protein baits chosen for the species so the colony actually takes them.
A residual barrier at entry points, window tracks and utility penetrations.
The moisture and food sources drawing them in, and the practical fixes for each.
Why spraying the trail fails
Contact spray kills foragers, which are a small fraction of the colony and the most expendable. The queen keeps laying and the trail reforms.
Baiting is carried back and shared through the colony, which ends it rather than relocating it.
Single treatment for a home or small office. Often bundled with cockroach work at lower combined cost.
How the service runs
See the full process, prep and re-entry times →Species identified — it decides sugar or protein bait — then the trail followed back to the nest.
Fixed price and method. Often bundled with cockroach work for less than booking both.
Bait on the active trails and at the nest, plus a barrier at entry points and window tracks.
Trails should stop within a week. If not, we return and re-treat at no charge.
No need to leave. The one thing that matters: do not clean the treated trails for a few days, or you remove the bait before the colony has carried it home.
Questions we get asked
How much is ant control?
A single treatment runs ₱1,000 to ₱4,500 for a home or small office. It is frequently bundled with cockroach treatment, which costs less than booking each separately.
Is ant treatment safe around food areas?
Yes. Baits are placed in cracks, voids and out-of-reach points rather than sprayed across surfaces, so kitchens stay usable throughout.
Do I need treatment, or can I handle a small trail?
A single trail from a garden nest is often manageable — clean the trail, remove the food source, seal the entry. Call us when trails keep returning, when you see winged ants indoors, or when they reach packaged food.
Often booked with this
Kitchens with langgam almost always have ipis behind the equipment. Bundled treatment is cheaper than two visits.
Winged ants and swarming anay look alike. If the wings were even, it is termites — different treatment entirely.
Ants return seasonally from outside. A quarterly plan keeps the perimeter treated year-round.
