Home / How it works

How a treatment actually works

The question everyone asks first is whether they have to leave the house. For most treatments, the answer is no — and where the answer is yes, we tell you exactly how long before you book, not on the day.

1
You get in touch
Same day

Send a photo on Viber, call, or fill in the booking form. A photo of the damage or the insect is usually enough for us to tell you what you are dealing with and roughly what it costs before anyone travels.

2
Free site inspection
30–60 minutes

A licensed technician walks the property, identifies the species, finds the nesting and entry points, and takes moisture readings where termites are suspected. You get the findings verbally on the spot.

3
Written quote and prep instructions
Within 24 hours

A fixed price, the products to be used, the schedule, and a preparation checklist specific to your property. Nothing is charged until you approve it, and there is no charge if you do not.

4
Treatment day
1–4 hours typical

The technician arrives in uniform with the agreed materials. Most work is done with you at home. Where re-entry time applies, it starts when we finish, and we tell you the exact hour you can go back in.

5
Report, follow-up and guarantee
30 days

You get a signed inspection report — pests found, materials used, recommendation. We follow up at 30 days, and if activity returns inside the covered period we re-treat at no charge.

Do you need to leave?

Re-entry times by treatment type. These are the standard windows — your quote confirms the exact figure for your property.

Gel baiting (cockroach, ant)
Work continues around you, including in kitchens
No need to leave
General interior spray
Ventilate on return; surfaces wiped before food prep
2–4 hours
Termite soil treatment
Drilling is noisy; stay out of the treated room until dry
No need to leave
Rodent baiting and proofing
Stations are locked and placed away from children and pets
No need to leave
Mosquito fogging
Cover food and aquariums; pets out; ventilate 30 minutes on return
2–4 hours
Bed bug heat treatment
Per room treated; heat-sensitive items removed beforehand
4–6 hours
Sealed fumigation
Structural or commodity work only, with clearance testing before re-entry
24–72 hours

Pregnant women, infants, elderly residents and anyone with a respiratory condition should stay out for the longer end of the window. Tell us in advance and we will plan the schedule around it.

What to prepare

If you are a household
Clear kitchen counters and put food, plates and utensils away
Empty the cabinets we will be treating — gel work needs access to the corners
Cover aquariums and switch off the pump for the duration
Keep pets in a carrier or outside until the re-entry time passes
Strip beds and bag clothing for bed bug work; we will tell you what to wash and at what temperature
Plan for kids and elderly family to be out if interior spraying is scheduled
If you are a business
We schedule after hours by default — most food service clients never close for us
Cover or remove open stock, prep surfaces and utensils before the team arrives
Nominate one staff contact who can unlock storage, ceilings and back-of-house
Brief your team the day before; we provide the notice text if you need it
Signage goes up during treatment and comes down at clearance
Your service report, chemical log and MSDS are filed the same night, ready for inspection
Safety, plainly
Only DOH-registered products, applied at label dose — never a stronger mix to work faster.
The technician tells you what is being used and leaves the product name on the report.
Re-entry times are conservative, not optimistic. If we say four hours, four hours is safe.
Anything unusual on site — a sick family member, an infant, a bird aviary — changes the plan, not the price.
What happens after

You will see more insects for the first two to three days, not fewer. That is the treatment working — baits and residuals draw them out of harbourage before they die. Do not clean the treated edges.

If activity is still there at the 30-day follow-up, we come back at no charge. That is what the guarantee covers, and it is written on your quote.

Still not sure what your job involves?

Send a photo on Viber. We will tell you the treatment, the time on site, and whether you need to be out — before you book anything.
