When fumigation is the right answer
Fumigation is whole-space treatment: the structure or container is sealed and a gas penetrates every void, pallet and crevice. It is the only method that reaches infestations inside stored commodities or spread through an entire building.
Disinfection is the other half of this service and a different job — sanitising occupied space after an outbreak, a flood or a closure, usually by ULV misting, with no sealing and a same-day return to use.
What these services include
Sealed treatment of warehouses, containers and stored commodities with clearance testing before re-entry.
ULV misting of offices, clinics and classrooms using hospital-grade disinfectant.
Certificates and service reports for export requirements, permits, audits and turnover.
Recurring disinfection for high-traffic sites, timed around your operating hours.
Why this is never a DIY category
Fumigants are restricted-use products. Sealing, dosing, monitoring and clearance testing are regulated steps, and the failure mode is not a wasted afternoon — it is a serious safety incident.
Every job here is carried out by licensed applicators, with the documentation your permit, insurer or auditor will ask to see.
Quoted on volume, sealing complexity and clearance requirements. Disinfection is priced per square metre.
How the service runs
See the full process, prep and re-entry times →Cubic volume measured, sealing assessed, and goods, equipment and neighbouring occupancy identified.
Method, dosage, exposure, ventilation and clearance protocol, plus the notice period required.
Seal, dose, monitored exposure, forced ventilation. Site signed and guarded throughout.
Gas readings logged, then your clearance certificate and service report for the audit file.
This is the one service that genuinely closes a space. Budget 24–72 hours of no access, and plan the reopening around the clearance reading rather than the calendar.
Questions we get asked
How much do fumigation services cost?
Fumigation starts around ₱3,500 and is quoted on cubic volume and sealing complexity. Disinfection of occupied space is priced per square metre and is considerably cheaper.
How long does a fumigation take?
Sealed fumigation takes 24 to 72 hours including exposure, ventilation and clearance testing. Nobody re-enters until the clearance reading is safe.
What is the difference between fumigation and disinfection?
Fumigation uses a gas in a sealed space to kill pests throughout a structure or commodity. Disinfection kills pathogens on surfaces and in the air of an occupied space, with no sealing and same-day return to use.
Often booked with this
Fumigation is almost always part of a wider commercial programme rather than a standalone job.
Warehouses that need fumigating usually need rodent exclusion at the dock doors as well.
Once the space is cleared, scheduled maintenance is what stops it recurring.
Both are space treatments. Sites booking a fumigation for stored goods usually need the perimeter fogged in the same visit.
